Computer software, or just software is a general term primarily used for digitally stored data such as computer programs and other kinds of information read and written by computers. Today, this includes data that has not traditionally been associated with computers, such as film, tapes and records. The term was coined in order to contrast to the old term hardware (meaning physical devices); in contrast to hardware, software is intangible, meaning it "cannot be touched". Unfortunately I downloaded the software in some european language and now I am trying to uninstall it but it won't let me. It shows an error in some language which I can't read. So basically I can't uninstall the software from the control panel. Is there any other way of getting rid of this software so I can install one that is in English ! If you just delete the folder, you aren't deleting the registry entry for the program you are deleting. In order to delete the whole program you would need to delete registry entries as well. A program I installed, not long ago, didn't come with an uninstall file. I found CCleaner and it was able to uninstall the program for me. Or you can always go to the Hp support forums and find yourself a better answer You can even ask the same question over there as well with a fairly similar setup.
