How many Teaspoons or tablespoons is one-third lb of butter?
Q. Please?
Asked by aznboricuagrl93 - Sat Sep 29 09:18:16 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Well if you look on a stick of most butter you will see lines marked on one side of it. These lines are one table spoonful. So if you only need a one table spoonful then I would cut off the end where it is marked. If you no longer have the wrapper or a stick of butter with the wrapper on it you could let it get soft and take an actual table spoon (the kind you measure in ) and just scoop out 1 or however many you need. Please note that (T) means tablespoons and (t) means teaspoons. One stick of butter is 1/4 a pound, butter is usually sold in 1 pound boxes. so you get 4 sticks of butter per box. [Oh heck i just went an LOOKED ha!! Well there are three Tablespoons in 1/3 of a stick of butter. ] Hope that helped you out. =)

A. 1/6 cup would be 8 teaspoons because there are 48 tsp. in a cup. 8 tsp. would also equal 2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. since there are 3 teaspoons in a tablespoon. Good luck with whatever recipe you're cutting down!

A. A tablespoon is more than a teaspoon. If you don't have a 3/4 tsp measure, use 1/4 - 3 times. Or you can use 1 tsp and fill it 3/4 of the way full.

A. Assumning you are talking about U.S. fluid ounces (not the British ounce which is bigger), then: 3.4 U.S. fluid ounces = 20.4 teaspoons, 6.8 tablespoons, or 0.425 cups.

A. just use ratios ...say 1/2 teaspoon lemon peel, 1 teaspoon each ginger, mace, cardamom, 2 teaspoons marjoram, 4 teaspoons white pepper, and 17 teaspoons (this is about 5 1/2 tablespoons) salt...now, you have the spice mix in the same proportions as the recipe stated, however, you may not need all of the spice.. I assumed .05 ounces was equal to 1/2 teaspoon of lemon peel, I may be a little off. good luck

A. gram is a unit of weight, teaspoons or tablespoons are units of volume. You have to find a table of equivalents to convert. I happen to know: 100g butter = 7 tablespoons 7 tablespoons = 21 teaspoons so 100g = 21 teaspoons or 1 g = 1/5 teaspoon note that this applies only to butter. for example: 100g flour= 11 tbls .
